My Taiwan Travel 2001~2011 II

i have to keep posting pictures and keep writing, else memories will fade away.  have not been ardently posting because i find it a challenge to align the pictures with comments. hope it will be more smooth sailing and i get better with time. so here's continuing with part 2.

凱達格蘭 i think

some street near the presidential office

this museum is still there, just beside 228 park

had passed by it countless times but till today, had not enter once

the view looking from the museum entrance

free shuttle bus to Taipei 101. forgot where is the boarding point or if it is still in service today. just know there is a shuttle service from 劍潭 station to Miramar.

2008 year of the rat. this is in 信義區 Mitsukoshi in between the malls

華納威秀

Taipei 101

some building near Taipei 101

miramar ferris wheel

taken from ferris wheel

i vaguely remember it is NT150 per ride

Taipei 101 in the distance

raining day on valentine's day 14/02/2008

i think this is a RT Mart 大潤發 equivalent

haha....OK mart at junction of 中山北路&市民大道 near to where i stay

Happy Family hostel

i was still with them in 2008. i think i was last with them in 2009 the Faith Yang concert

豆漿店 that Mr Lee brought me for breakfast. i went alone many times after that. i remember a korean or japanese tourists was there also during one of my visit

typical 傳統早餐

燒餅油條

豆漿

花枝羹

very yummy

just some random stall in 士林夜市 already very yummy

蚵仔煎&花枝羹 2 of my fave 小吃

Hi LIfe

should be the local convenience stall. i later learnt that Family Mart is not local. it seems to originate from Japan

near flight of stairs near to 中山地下街

i shall start with 野柳, a place i like very much in northern coastal Taiwan.

enroute to 野柳. i remember must take a bus, alight at some point and walk a short distance

fishing boat i believe

will pass by a Family Mart

saw Family Mart in some Japan travel program. so my deduction that it is not local Taiwanese brand and could be Japanese.

will pass by this temple too

breakwater

seem to take pretty good picture back then

ok, we are there

just realised from my 2008 trip, a lot of places that i went to were raining. this is one of those few that weren't

the famed 女皇頭

somewhere in the far distance

they call this the tofu rock formation

remember a scene i saw here. a old korean couple probably mid 50s or early 60s was hiking along the tracks. the hubby was on higher ground and the wife was struggling up a slope. hubby lent wife a hand and both continue with their hike.

this is taken at some peak, probably 二十四孝山

the pavillion

taken on the way down

漂流木

i remember admission fee is very cheap. NT50 if i remember correctly.

Great place thats worth many visits

i will continue with another fave 朱銘美術館 in the next post
